What conventions of psychological thrillers does this movie have? This movie has lots of close ups and zooms into the main characters face. The sets and costumes are all relating to the 1950's which is where the movie is set. There is a major plot twist nearing the end of the movie, common in this genre. The main character is trapped and cannot escape, also common in this genre. There are fast cuts in between shots, like an insert, montages of weird pictures with whooshing noises, and high pitched ringing, fast paced music. Our rock music video employs various conventions to convey their messages and represent different social groups. Through energetic performances, rebellious aesthetics, and edgy visuals, rock music videos capture the essence of the genre while appealing to fans and attracting new audiences. These videos often showcase the musicians as a distinct social group, embodying a rebellious spirit and countercultural identity. We tried our best to use these conventions in our video. We tried to dress more edgy than we usually did, wearing old band shirts. We made silly faces directly into the camera, almost mocking the audience. Final Task Music - Production Blog

Our group has finally moved forward with our filming process. Now we have to get over a large obstacle, music. Our teacher told us that we would need to use royalty free music, unless we got permission from the people who made a published song. The last thing we wanted was for the music to be generic when we were trying to convey a creepy mood to our audience. We tried to brainstorm for song ideas, looking through Spotify playlists and such. After a while, I suggested we use "Everything in Its Right Place." This is a Radiohead song and it seems like a perfect fit for our concept. The song starts fairly mellow but progressed to something loud and overwhelming, which is exactly how we wanted to convey Amelie's emotions. We got to work immediately. I found as many people related to Radiohead as possible. I sent Amelie their Instagram accounts, Twitter accounts, store email, etc. She reached out on every possible platform I gave her.
