Research/Planning for Commercial

For my commercial, I have decided to use the song "Amoeba" by Clairo. I chose this song because it has been one of my favorites for a long time. I wanted a song that was soft and gentle but still upbeat. It fell into for the criteria of song I was looking for. This also will shape the commercial's mood into something sweet and happy. After I chose my song, I looked for photos to use throughout the video. I searched through my photos on my laptop. I keep a lot of younger pictures of me on there and any older images that I delete from my phone. I found some cute pictures of me growing up and other ones of my friends and hobbies.

This first photo was a picture of me on the Galápagos Islands in 2014. I love this photo because I remember choosing this outfit for myself and being extremely proud of my all-pink look. I wanted to include it because it was one of my most memorable trips. I saw Giant Tortoises, Blue-Footed Boobies, and so many iguanas.

The next photo was taken of me in 2021 when I played Pumbaa in the Lion King in the annual church musical. Ryan, the boy who played Timon, is currently in my Media Studies class! We still talk occasionally, but this really shows how much church has bonded me with fellow members of my community and how important it really is to me.

This picture is from February 14, 2023, or Valentine’s Day! Our school is in Broward County, which means it is zoned in the same county as another high school, Marjory Stoneman Douglas. On February 14, 2018, there was a major shooting at MSD, killing 17 students. All schools in Broward County decided that  all Valentine’s Days should be work-free and give students the right to do fun activities in remembrance of what happened on that day. This is a picture of Aspen, a good friend of mine, and I drawing Ziggy Stardust in chalk. I really treasure this day and how content it makes me feel, surrounded by all my friends, and feeling safe at my school.

This photo was taken during my trip to Antarctica, my last and final continent. It shows me and my in my gear on a rocky beach near a penguin. The little guy was super curious and walked right up to me. I didn’t want to get too close because we were warned about keeping a distance, but I managed to get this picture! I was so fortunate and am so grateful to have been able to go to such a remote area and see such beautiful land features and animals up close.

This picture was taken at my summer camp on the last day together. We had just finished two weeks worth of hard-work serving campers meals, cleaning cabins, managing activities, and much more. I grew so much closer with the people that went on this trip. These are the same people that go to my church, but I had never gotten the chance to properly get to know them all, until now. We still text each other everyday and have been so incredibly close since.

I feel like these pictures really represented who I am, and I am glad I get to share them with you!
